What is good for Goose is not Always Good for Gander.
We are in a world where everybody is doing whatever is trending and bringing money. Even though this is not bad if you have passion for it otherwise you may become frustrated along the line. Frustration will set in when the money stops coming from it over some time or when things are not going as expected and such individuals will later quit the business.
What is good for the goose is good for the gander is a modern form of “what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander” which is one of John Ray’s proverbs. The proverb means what is good for the man is equally good for the woman. The proverb is meant to remove the inequality between man and a woman, though man and woman were created to play unique roles in life. The fact that it is profitable for some people does not make it the only thing that can bring money.
It is essential everyone discover his/her gifts that can be used to solve human problems and get paid in the process. This is difficult for many people due to laziness and the desire to get rich quickly. They don’t want to endure the process but enjoy its reward.
Even if you are passionate about what others are already doing, you can do it uniquely. Your uniqueness will distinguish you from others. There is indeed nothing new under heaven but you can do old things in a new way and get the desired result. All fishes are aquatic animals but saltwater is not good for catfish because it is freshwater fish.
It is easier to discover what you are meant to do and how to do it if you ask God. He is your creator and knows everything about you. The psalmist acknowledged this when he said:
You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; you know how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book; all the stages of my life were spread out before you. The days of my life were all prepared before I’d even lived the day. (Ps 139:15-16, MSG).
Therefore, you don’t need to gamble with your life when you have God that knows everything about you.
